Alpine, AL - Funeral service for Quillian George McMahan, 86, will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. James Owens, Rev. David Ginn, and Rev. Ronnie Williams officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mr. McMahan died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Lillie Maude McMahan, and his two brothers, Fred McMahan and Cecil McMahan.
Mr. McMahan retired from Whitehall Products after 23 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Old Hopewell Baptist Church in Cleburne County. He was known for his love of cattle farming, Alabama Football, collecting coins, and gardening. Mr. McMahan was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lorene Cruise McMahan; daughter, Sandra (Kenneth) Johnson; son, Michael (Marcia) McMahan; four grandchildren, Craig Johnson, Erica (Glendon) Harwell, Alexis (John) Deason, and Braxton McMahan; and three great-grandchildren, Seth Harwell, Baylee Harwell, and Allie Deason.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Johnson, Craig Johnson, Glendon Harwell, Braxton McMahan, Seth Harwell, and John Deason.
