Virginia Watters
Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Virginia Watters, 97, will be Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Fayetteville Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Kelley officiating. Ms. Watters will lie in state 30 minutes at the church prior to her service. Burial will be in Fayetteville Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Ms.Watters died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was a lifetime member of Fayetteville Baptist Church. She taught elementary grades 1st and 3rd at Bon Air, Marble Valley, Kellyton, Stewartville and Fayetteville for a total of 39 years. She received her BS from Jacksonville State in 1941 and her MS from The University of Alabama in 1958.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to Fayetteville Baptist Church.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
