Louis Harold Hickman

Alpine, AL - Funeral service for Louis Harold Hickman, 83, will be Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Michael Frost officiating.  Burial will be in Tallasahatchie Cemetery in Alpine, AL.

Mr. Hickman died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Paralee and Sidney Hickman; brothers, Sidney Hickman, Jr., Charles Hickman and Billy Joe Hickman; sisters, Nellie Ruth Martin, Melinda Spurgeon; son-in-law, Billy Ross Osbourn.  He was honorably discharged from the US Army after serving in WWII in both the European and Pacific Theatre.  He was retired from Moretti Harrah Marble Quarry after 29 years of service.

He is survived by wife his wife of 53 years, Marie Stevens Hickman of Alpine; daughter, Sheila Reahnia Osbourn of Sylacauga; sons, Wendell Hickman of Alpine and Warren Harold Hickman, wife Shannon of Sylacauga; sisters, Jettie Ogle of Sylacauga and Mary Parker of Alpine; grandchildren, Bryan Osbourn, wife Kelley, Brooke Jacks, husband Anthony, Brandon Lamphere and Blaine Hickman; great-grandchildren, Bryan Osbourn, Isaac Osbourn and Jasper Jacks.

Visitation will be Monday, October 31, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Sgt. Rondell Muse, Sgt. Willis Whatley, Lt. Jason McNeill, Officer Mike Smith, Officer Mike Moore and Officer Matt Abrams.

You were my friend RIP My Cousin you always remembered my birthday I think because you got dog bit by the Drs dog . You said Daddy sent you an Earnest after DR POE He also sent Herman after Dr Terry, evan he got there to late Grandmo and aunt Exa delivered me but Dr Terry cleaned up and still took the 25.00 dollars. I think Daddy sent every teenager on the Hickman Farm to find a Dr somewhere, You always said you got DOG bit the night I was born.. I will miss you calling me on my birthday Love & Prayers Janett
