Leon Dale
Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Leon Dale, 80, will be Friday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Charles Glover and Rev. Charles Sims officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mr. Dale died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean conflict. He was employed with the City of Oak Grove where he served as Fire Chief for 25 years. Mr. Dale loved camping at Wind Creek with his family and his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dot Dale of Sylacauga; sons, Mark Dale, wife Kim of Sylacauga, Chris Dale, wife Rebecca of Childersburg and Jarred Dale, wife Lynn of Sylacauga; grandsons, Jake Dale, wife Lacey, Lew Dale, Keith Robertson and Eric Robertson all of Sylacauga; granddaughter, Allyson Hall of Childersburg; great-grandson, Jax Dale of Sylacauga; brother, Rush Dale of High Springs, FL; sisters, Jettie Bates of Sylacauga and Joyce Rousseau of Childersburg.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The family would like to give special thanks to Amy and Suzanne and the entire staff of Amedisys Hospice for their great care and service.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Osburne, Bill McFarland, Robert Osbourn, Chris Cummings, Robert Baird, Joey Martin and Josh Mays.

To the Dale family,please accept our deepest sympathy over the loss of your dear loved one.We all can feel your pain because we have all loss someone in death.Though Leon is gone there is a promise that our Lord Jesus Christ made that will give us hope of seeing our dead loved ones again in the resurrection. Jesus said "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out"(John 5:28,29).Just imagine seeing Leon again living in paradise where there is no more sickness,pain,sorrow, and death (Isaiah 25:8;Revelation 21:3-5).
