Ruby Davis Douglas

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Davis Douglas, 80, will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Harold Meherg officiating.  Burial will follow at  Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL .

Mrs. Douglas died May, 6, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.  She was a lifelong resident of Sylacauga.  She was retired from Avondale Mills with over 30 years of service.  Mrs. Douglas was a very loving mother and grandmother.  

She was preceded in death by her  husband of 48 years, Elbert H. Douglas; her parents, Vella Robinson and Vic Davis; brothers, Durwood Key, Fletcher Davis and Howard Davis.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny Douglas, Mitchell Douglas, wife Lisa and Darryl Douglas; daughter, Carol Meherg, husband Harold; granddaughters, Melissa Hill, Meagan Lett, Madison Douglas, Christina Douglas, Stephanie Douglas, Rachel Meherg, Rebekah Meherg and Sarah Meherg; grandson, Dana Douglas; great-granddaughter, Adrianna Hill; great-grandson, Joshua Lett; step-great-grandchildren, Lexie Lett, Jack, Jessica and Kelby Swint.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Dana Douglas, Justin Hill, Jarod Lett, Matthew Liner, James Hughes and Greg Connell.
