Rosetta "Rosie" Russ

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral services for Rosetta "Rosie" Russ, age 87, will be Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel.  Rev. Jimmie Roberts will officiate.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mrs. Russ went to be the Lord on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL.  She was a retired ice cream processor with Flav-O-Rich with 20 years of service.  She was Baptist by faith and attended Westview Baptist Church.  She loved her Lord and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to everyone.  She will be greatly missed.  Our loss is Heaven's gain.  She is preceded in death by son, Frank Stano; sisters, Naomi Robertson and Eva Lucas; parents, Luther and Nannie Mizzell.

She is survived by daughters, Mona Browning, husband Freddie of Goodwater, Kathy Pearce, husband Paul of Hanover; grandsons, Chad Browning, wife Deanna of Medina, TN and Russ Browning of Montgomery, AL; great-grandchildren, Logan and Dylan Browning of Medina TN; special friend, Nora Brown and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 4 until 7 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Browning, Russ Browning, Justin Browning, Jeremy Browning, Brian Mock and Henry McCarthy.

Mona & Kathy,

Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. It's so hard to say good-bye to someone so special. You are not alone in your sadness. Your mom meant so much to so many, and will be deeply missed.
