Betty Jo Winslett Matson

Childersburg, AL,  - Funeral service for Betty Jo Winslett Matson, 77, will be Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church with Rev. Joe Kelley and Rev. Vaughn Winslett officiating.  Burial will be in Talladega Springs Cemetery in Talladega Springs, AL.

Mrs. Matson died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J Matson; granddaughters, Misty D Kelley and  Masie Knight; grandson, Adam Sayers; parents, Emmett and Lois Winslett.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Thornburg, husband Jeff (Howdy) of Childersburg; daughter, Debbie Kelley, husband Bobby of Fayetteville; son, Robert Matson; daughter in law, Sheila Matson; son, Charles Matson of Fayetteville; daughter, Donna Kay Wain, husband Jody of Childersburg; brother, Charles Winslett, wife Barbara; brother, Clifton Winslett, wife Sharee; sister, Sue Johnson, husband J.W.; sister, Wrena Hamilton, husband Alvin; sister, Dianne McGowan, husband Tommy; sister, Anita Gandy, husband Wayne; 38 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Shane McKee, Payton McKee, Chris Knight, C.J. Knight, Jacob Knight, Brandon Matson, Alexander Harry and Craig Kelley.  Memoriam pallbearer, Adam Sayers.

What joy there must have been in heaven when this precious woman entered smiling and aglow in the love of and for Christ

Donna k, Connie, debbie, and family. We are so sorry about your loss. We only met her a few times but she was always so sweet and loving. She loved us and daddy. We love yall and are praying for yall.

Connie, I am sorry to learn of the earthly loss of your mother. Knowing that she is in her new heavenly home and is in the eternal presence of our Savior, Jesus Christ, is the source of peace in our hearts. I pray God's love and comfort for you and your family.
