Margaret Whaley
Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Margaret Whaley, 88, will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Wayne Burns and Rev. Eddie Forbus officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mrs. Whaley died Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.J. and Jessie Howard; husband, James Whaley and brother, Tommy Howard. She was retired from Avondale Mills after 35 years of service. Mrs. Whaley was a member of Five Points Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky Brooks, husband Harold; grandchildren, Tracey Allen, husband Joe, Wendy Arnold, husband Mark, Jay Brooks, wife Ami and Jody Brooks, wife Shannon; great-grandchildren, Emily and Abby Allen, Brooks and Max Jackson, Mitchell and Elizabeth Arnold; Ella-Kate and Gracyn Brooks; sister, Betty Landers and brother, Buck Howard.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to Sylacauga Boys Club, 412 Pine Street, Sylacauga, AL 35150.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Landers, Keith Howard, Nate Brewer, Jody Brooks, Brooks Jackson and Rev. Charles Atkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Adair and Myles Adair.
