Carrie L. Nolen Brown (Pluto)
Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Carrie L. Nolen Brown (Pluto), 74, will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Pastor Bruny Mitchell, Rev. Kenneth Ragland, Minister Wendy Robinson, and Minister Louise Morris officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mrs. Brown passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harry L. Brown Sr.; mother, Jessie Mae Tanner; father, Collin Underwood; and three sisters, JoAnn Benjamin, Deborah Hardy, and Carlena Houser.
From an early age, she was a member of Triumph Church in Talladega and later attended St. Paul AME Church in Sylacauga. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Westside High School in Talladega. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Harry L. Brown, Jr., John Martin "Marty" Brown (Amber), O'Kiem Demetric Brown, and daughter, Rosalynne Brown Davis (James); five brothers, Frederick Tanner, Benjamin Tanner, Franklin Underwood, and James Underwood; four sisters, Freddie Morris, Gloria Beavers, Nevada Jemison, and Mary Lee Columbus; special brother-in-law, Marvin Brown of Buffalo, NY; five grandchildren, Aaliyah Jones, Ja'Shon Brown, Abby Compton, Jailyn Brown, and Jasmyn Brown; four step-grandsons, Jermaine Davis, Cody Foster, DeShawn Foster, and James Stevens; step-granddaughter, Ericka Stevens; god daughter, Claudia Price; six special god children, Lacy Price, Anthony Price, Dominique Price, Da'Kayla Swain, Daylan Williams, and Dylan Williams; her loving dog, Toddgie; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
