Clois Terry Free, 82, gently laid her body down on August 2, 2018.
Family was her love and joy. She is survived by her children, Denise Landers (Tim), Janet Jackson (Gary), Beth Free, Tony Free (Lisa); her six grandchildren Cady (Keith), Clint (Whitney), Kasey (Marty), Tyler, Cory and Lindsey; three great-grandchildren; her brother Willard Terry (Karen), sisters Glenna Thompson (Glen) and Naomi Terry; her nieces and nephews and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Clois is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clint; her parents Henry Terry and Avo Marie Terry (nee Stewart); as well as her brothers Lillard Terry, Robert Terry, Hubert Terry, and Audis Terry and her sisters Linda Clark and Sonja Stanfill.
After graduating top in her nursing school class, Clois worked at various hospitals, doctor’s offices, and lastly, Shanondale Assisted Living. She was a member of Unity Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. In her free time, she fulfilled her creative soul by painting, quilting, sewing, and scrapbooking. Clois was compassionate, caring, and a great conversationalist.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Coosa Valley Hospice, Brenda Kay Harris, Terri Dunn, and all our mother’s loving caretakers for their support in her final days.
