Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Edna McDaniel, 75, will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Dr. J.D. Davis and Bro. Tony McGrady officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mrs. McDaniel died Sunday, May 12, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl "Little Red" McDaniel; daughter, Cindy Garrison; sister, Billie Faye Horton; and brother, William C. Nixon.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was known for her passion for reading and crochet. For many years she volunteered her time making baby booties and baby afghans for expecting mothers at Save-A-Life. Many family and friends were also blessed to have received one of her handmade afghans. They will be cherished dearly for the years to come. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her daughter, Angela Kerns of Pell City; son, James McDaniel, Jr. of Alabaster; four grandchildren, Jon Garrison, Chuck Garrison, Brandon Kerns, and Brianna Kerns; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
