Joe served his country in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis. He was a truck driver for over 50 years, 30 of those years as a heavy equipment hauler. He was known by his co-workers as “The Crane Man.” Even when he wasn’t on the road for work, he loved being on the road with his family. Anyone could get directions to anywhere from him at any time. He was a member of the Childersburg Church of God for 40 years. Joe was the best example of what a Daddy should be. His children were not by blood but by choice and he loved them unconditionally.
We will celebrate Joe dropping his last heavy load and speeding thru the pearly gates of home on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Childersburg Church of God with Rev. David Bearden and Dan East officiating. Burial will be in Childersburg City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
