Mava Lois Estes Mitchell Ogle

Sylacauga, AL:  Funeral service for Mava Lois Estes Mitchell Ogle, 88, will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Chaplain Lee Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Cragford, AL.

Mrs. Ogle passed into eternity to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on February 25, 2018 at Sylacauga Health and Rehab, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Mrs. Ogle was a native of Clay County, Alabama, but lived most of her life in Childersburg. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and a wonderful cook and homemaker.

Mrs. Ogle was preceded in death by husbands, Hershell Mitchell and Wink Ogle; son W.L. Mitchell; brothers, Bill Estes, Lewis Estes, and Mac Estes; sister, Treva Estes; and her parents, Leonard Estes Sr. and Etta Cumi Moore Estes.

Mrs. Ogle is survived by her sons, Glenn Mitchell (Cindy), Thomas Mitchell (Phyllis), Ricky Ogle (Dorisene), and Mark Ogle (Robbie); daughters, Shirley Hester, Tina Hewell, Glenda Smith, and Janice Dennis; 19 grandchildren, Gena, Tammie, Carroll, Crystal, Robbin, Tanya, Jodie, Derek, Kandee, Spanky, Russ, Kevin, Treva, Genny, Josh, Kailia, Kendall, Brandie, and Ambra; she also had 26 great-grandchildren with another on the way; multiple great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Hiram Estes (Norma) and Leonard Estes Jr. (Jillian).

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to organizations supporting research to find a cure or prevention of Parkinson’s disease.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Derek Mitchell, Russ Mitchell, Hunter Wood, Malakai Mitchell, Mac McGathey, and Asa Ricks. Honorary pallbearer will be Kevin Mitchell.

The family would like to thank Tammy, Sadera, Shannon, Velita, and all of the CNA’s and staff of the south wing of Sylacauga Health and Rehab for their “special” care of our mother for these almost 15 years. The family would also like to thank Nurse Stephanie, Nurse Briggs, Chaplain Lee Walton, and other staff of Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for their support.
